A Faucet distributes small amounts of cryptocurrency, typically on a test network, to users. This allows users to perform transactions and test various functionalities on the blockchain without the need to use their own funds. Faucets are especially helpful in a testing environment where users need to simulate real-world interactions with the blockchain.
Follow these step-by-step instructions to request test tokens from the Faucet:
Visit the Faucet URL
Open your web browser and go to https://faucet.runevm.io
Add RuneVM Network to MetaMask
On the Faucet page, click on “Add Subnet to MetaMask.”
Approve the request in MetaMask to add the RuneVM network.
Once added, select the RuneVM network in MetaMask
Request Tokens
Paste your wallet address in the input field on the Faucet page.
Click on “Request 1 tBTC.”
A transaction ID will be displayed. Click on it to view the transaction details in the block explorer.
Check Your Wallet
Open your MetaMask extension and check your balance. You should see the test tokens credited to your account.
